For over 30 years, I’ve been in sales and marketing. I’ve built strategies, created campaigns, and helped businesses grow. But when I transitioned to running my coaching business, I quickly realized something surprising: the traditional marketing methods I’d relied on for years just didn’t work for me anymore.
In fact, they didn’t feel right.
The Problem with Traditional Marketing
If you’ve ever explored marketing strategies, you’ve probably heard about “pain points.” The idea is to identify your audience’s struggles, highlight them, and then position your solution as the fix. While I understand the logic—people need to feel their pain before they’re motivated to change—it felt wrong to me.
Why? Because pressing on someone’s pain can feel manipulative. It’s like putting your finger on a wound and pressing harder just to get their attention. That’s not who I am, and it’s not how I want to show up in my business.
Another issue I faced was the overpromising I often see in the marketing world. “This worked for me, so it will work for you,” they say. But the truth is, what worked for someone else might not work for you or me. We’re all unique, and success is rarely one-size-fits-all.
What I Learned from Two Programs
Recently, I joined two very different programs:
1️⃣ A small mastermind with 14 people. We met monthly to collaborate, brainstorm, and exchange ideas. It felt personal and intimate, and I loved the supportive environment.
2️⃣ A mega course with 500+ participants and a highly structured curriculum. While the information was valuable, the rigid format and impersonal nature didn’t resonate with me.
Both programs taught me something important. I realized I didn’t need to choose between structure and intimacy—I could create something that blended the best of both.
Building a Feel-Good Marketing Strategy
That’s when I started rethinking how I approach marketing. Instead of following traditional methods, I decided to create a Feel-Good Marketing Strategy.
Here’s what it looks like:
- Slow Down. Step back and evaluate what feels good to you.
- Focus on alignment. Pick the aspects of marketing you enjoy and that align with your values.
- Show up authentically. Post in your voice, share your message your way, and let the right people find you.
When I stopped trying to fit into a marketing mold and started showing up as my authentic self, everything changed. I no longer dreaded posting on social media or talking about my business. In fact, I looked forward to it!
Creating a Program That Works for You
This experience inspired me to create a program that empowers others to do the same. It’s not about copying my success or following a rigid blueprint. Instead, it’s about helping you design a marketing approach that feels good to you.
Whether you thrive in intimate group settings, love structured learning, or prefer a mix of both, the program adapts to your needs. The goal is to help you find your voice, your strategy, and your flow so you can market your business with confidence and joy.
Let’s Talk
If this approach resonates with you, I’d love to chat. Send me a message, and we’ll schedule a 30-minute conversation to see if we’re a good fit. This isn’t about pressure or numbers—it’s about finding the right energetic match.
If we click, great! If not, that’s okay too. Either way, you’ll walk away with insights to help you move forward in a way that feels authentic and aligned.
Because at the end of the day, marketing shouldn’t feel like a chore or a compromise. It should feel good—for you and for the people you’re here to help.
Are you ready to pause, reflect, and build something that feels right? Let’s make it happen.
